If you are planning to install an electric vehicle (EV) charging station on your property, plan review and approval is required before a permit can be issued. All contractors working on the project must obtain a valid Village Contractor’s Business License.

Title 15, Chapter 154 of the Zoning Code requires any person or entity owning or operating an electric vehicle charging station within the Village to obtain and display a valid vending machine license pursuant to Title 11, Chapter 119 of the Village Code.
The Electric Vehicle Charging Station Vending License application can be submitted via email or the US Postal Service to the Finance Department Collections Division at 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, IL 60193.
The license period for vending machines is January 1 through December 31. Renewal Season is Nov 1 through December 31 and can be completed online using the village’s WebPay System. Customers are subject to credit card transaction fees. Licenses must be renewed annually. You can renew your license online using WebPay.
