Lights, camera, sponsor!

In 2006, the village received a letter from a local 8th grade student suggesting that “Schaumburg, being the festive town it is, should have its own film festival.”? The idea led to our first annual Screen Test Student Fest in February, 2007, featuring short video projects from students in grades 5-12 and representing communities including Des Plaines, Glen Ellyn, Arlington Heights, and Naperville.

Since then, the festival has expanded to exhibit student works from across the globe, including Norway, China, Rio de Janeiro, and Iran. The 2016 fest also gained new audiences through its live video feed on YouTube. Over 100 short films are submitted to the festival each year.

Business support of the festival helps provide an outlet for young people to express themselves artistically through the medium of film or video.  In return, we acknowledge sponsorships in a number of ways, from listing a business as an award presenter to including a company logo on all related promotional material for the event.  A variety of sponsorship levels are offered and contributions can be made through cash or in-kind donations.

We hope you consider this unique opportunity to get involved with a worthwhile event for students, film-goers and the community!
