The village recently approved a new agreement with Dynegy Inc. for the electrical aggregation program which will run from December 2017 through November 2018 at a rate of 7.111 cents per kWh. There is no cost for enrollment and you will not be charged a switching fee.
Included in Dynegy's supply rate of 7.111 cents per kWh is (1) the Supply Charge and (2) the Transmission Charge. ComEd’s price to compare for the non-summer months (June 2018 - September 2018) will be 7.358 cents per kWh and for the non-summer months (October 2018 - May 2019) will be 7.886 cents per kWh. ComEd’s price to compare may fluctuate by as much as +/- 0.5 cents/kWh each month due to their Purchased Electricity Adjustment.
Customers that have ComEd as their energy supplier will pay an additional 0.189 cents per kWh Renewable Energy Adjustment fee on their bill while customers in the village's program pay an additional 0.142 cents per kWh.
Please note this rate is for energy supply only. ComEd will continue to deliver electricity to your home or business and bill you for the same. Those ComEd delivery charges are the same regardless of whether you purchase your electric supply from ComEd or participate in the Aggregation Program.
