National Citizen Survey

In September 2018, the village will be collecting feedback from residents by conducting the National Citizen Survey™ (NCS). Surveys will be sent to 1,600 randomly selected households in the Village of Schaumburg.  If you receive one, we ask that you please provide a response so that your opinion counts.

The last survey was conducted in 2016 and revealed that 95% of respondents view the village as a great place to live.  The survey helped the village identify priorities which departments have used to set goals:

NCS CoverPromote Economic Development
Created an Economic Development Department to dedicate staff and resources to economic development functions.

Invest in Infrastructure
Expanded Residential Street Repair and Reconstruction Programs from $6 million to $8 million annually with the additional funds dedicated to reconstruction of the worst quality streets.

Improve Mobility
Leveraged grant funds to upgrade seven signalized intersections along Meacham Road and National Parkway to video detection technology.

Enhance Community Engagement and Communications
Developed and began implementation of a new brand action plan. The deliverables will be used across a variety of communication channels to help market the village in the future.
