Memorial Day weekend’s popular Prairie Arts Festival returns Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 to the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center located at the intersection of Schaumburg Road and Summit Drive. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, rain or shine. Admission is free and will feature over 120 fine artists, including jewelers, painters, photographers, potters, sculptors, and woodcarvers from coast to coast.
This festival continues to draw patrons from Chicago, the northwest suburbs and outlying areas. Many patrons return annually to purchase art, listen to the various musical acts featured hourly and enjoy the food offered by the food truck vendors.
The festival also features a children's activity tent sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District for the event’s younger artists.
