Learn from local gardening experts about designing your garden with native plants and showcase our region's natural beauty. Village of Schaumburg staff will be on-site to answer questions about guidelines for growing native plants in the community. Test your knowledge with plant trivia and pick up a free oak seedling. At 2 p.m., the Illinois Master Gardeners will present on planting for pollinators and facilitate a seed planting activity to take home. This event is offered in partnership with the Schaumburg Township District Library and the summer reading challenge kickoff: Plant a Seed and Read.
