The Village of Schaumburg is pleased to announce that Tara Reid has been appointed as Director of Communications & Outreach. She will succeed Kassondra Schref, who is leaving the village for personal reasons.

 

Reid will be responsible for managing the village’s communications initiatives, including enhancing, developing and promoting the Schaumburg brand across multiple platforms, such as web and digital channels, multimedia development, public relations, media outreach, social media management, graphic design, and print production. 

 

Reid is an accomplished and creative communications leader with nearly two decades of experience in private sector marketing, public relations, and strategic outreach. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President at Golin, a global public relations and integrated marketing agency. Prior to that, Reid spent 17 years with Havas Formula, a national public relations and social media agency, where she held a variety of leadership roles and ultimately led the practice as Chief Executive Officer.

Reid holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Her first day with the village was June 22.
