The Village of Schaumburg is currently accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year to be recognized at its upcoming luncheon—a public event that will feature Experiential Facilitator, Molly Grisham.
Nominations for Schaumburg’s Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Organization of the Year, and Youth Volunteer of the Year will be accepted through Friday, April 3. Nominees can represent social, civic, religious, community, school and nonprofit organizations within the Village of Schaumburg and Schaumburg Township community. New this year, the Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club is pleased to announce they will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship to this year’s Youth Volunteer of the Year. Nomination materials are available on the Village of Schaumburg website.
Award recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from nominations received from residents and the business community. Recipients will be honored at the 38th annual Volunteer of the Year luncheon that will take place Wednesday, April 22 at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 1901 E. Woodfield Rd. in Schaumburg. The luncheon is open to the public; attendees do not need to be nominated or have someone nominated to attend the event. Those interested in attending may register and pay online on the village's website by 2 p.m. on Friday, April 17.
Molly Grisham, Experiential Facilitator, will deliver the keynote address at this year's luncheon. Molly believes that teams don’t grow apart, they die apart. She knows that elite, high-performing teams in all industries get stretched and stressed by the demand to perform. Molly is passionate about helping teams rediscover their strengths and restore their relationships so they can rebuild. With nearly two decades of experience as a college soccer coach and communication professor, Molly approaches her work as an educator. She meets people where they are and helps them move to where they want to be.
