Comcast/Xfinity has recently expanded its presence in Schaumburg, moving into Schaumburg Corporate Center at 1475 E. Woodfield Road and opening a new Xfinity store at 1301 E. Golf Road. The company now occupies 61,295 square feet in the office building, while the Xfinity store fills a 3,909 square-foot space in the new out lot next to Aspen Dental. Comcast, a global media and technology leader, offers broadband, video, and streaming services through its Xfinity brand. The company has invested over $6.35 million into both locations. Lurie Children’s Hospital has opened their new 75,000 square-foot outpatient center at the northwest corner of Roselle Road and Hillcrest Boulevard. The facility offers pediatric cardiology, neurology, urology, orthopedics, and pediatric surgeries, as well as an ambulatory infusion center (AIC)—the first of its kind outside of a hospital in the Chicagoland area. The center represents a $60 million investment on a previously undeveloped 5.67-acre site and will employ approximately 85 people while serving more than 60,000 patients annually.
